It is the new energy vehicle charging standard used in Europe and the U.S., which is divided into CCS1 and CCS2. “CCS1 connector” or “Combo1 connector” is used in the North American market and “CCS2 connector” or “Combo2 connector” is mainly used in Europe. Automobile manufacturers that support CCS include BMW, Ford, Jaguar, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Volvo, Renault, MINI, smarts, Rolls Royce, Audi, Volkswagen and others.

GB/T

The GB/T DC charging connector is becoming the go-to option for charging electric cars in China. Known also as the guobiao DC EV charging connector, it is a DC fast-charging system developed by SAE International and the Chinese State Grid Corporation in order to meet global safety standards. The GB/T 20234 charging standard backed by this system is being employed in various cities throughout the country, essentially establishing a unified charging system for all-electric vehicles.

TESLA

Tesla has developed its own charging connector, distinct from the other industry standards. Its proprietary connectors work for all voltages and can be used to charge a Tesla at one of their exclusive Superchargers stations – which are located around the world! Non-Tesla EVs cannot use this network though as each charger goes through an authentication process first that only recognizes Teslas.
